Hello, I have a macbook pro(early 2014), it is intel based and very old, whenever I enter my password, it takes days to verify, even if I leave it overnight, it still shows that buffering symbol in the morning
Someone Please Help Me With This Issue, It would be very helpful

Lagging Login:
Aside from just being an old device, there’s a boatload that can be causing this. So, three things for starters. Report back if anything here helps…
A. Boot in Safe Mode:
While in Safe Mode, Login Items do no open at log in, and caches are managed. So, hold down the shift key upon boot, and see if you can get in that way.
B. See How Much Hard Drive Space Remains:
With little free space on your hard drive remaining, it can most certainly overheat, and/or lag.
What To Do:
C. Run First Aid:
While in Disk Utility in Recovery Mode, select the hard drive, and then click Fist Aid. Let it run and see if any items are found that are to be of issue and are fixed.

Getting this Connection Going:
A. Plug your Mac into the Wall:
Be certain your Mac is plugged into the wall, while performing this. Being it's been going on "for days", I take it this is already plugged in.
B. Use Ethernet:
Try hooking this up to Ethernet. You'd place one end into the adapter, and one into your modem/router. Being there is not Ethernet port in your computer, you'll need this adapter: Belkin USB-C to 2.5Gb Ethernet Adapter - Apple
C. Use a Range Extender:
If the WiFi connection is low, then use a range extender to amplify (boost) the signal. Or, just be closer to the router.
D. Restart the Router:
Power off your Modem/Router for 30 seconds, and then power it back on.
