Safari bookmarks not syncing - a possible solution.

If you are having problems with bookmarks in Safari not synching or doing so intermittently, here is an interesting little quirk of the app that might help. Assuming that you have done all the recommended stuff - signing in with the same ID, making sure iCloud is turned on everywhere, etc, try this: move the devices well away from each other!

Sounds crazy, but that's what I found some time ago but had forgotten until I came back to Safari from Chrome just recently.

I couldn't get my iPhone and iPad to sync with my Mac mini while they were all on my desk. It was driving me crazy and then I remembered. I put my iPhone and iPad the other side of the room and the bookmarks updated!

An anomaly of quantum physics? a rift in the fabric of the space/time continuum? magic? Possibly. But more likely that the NFL (near field technology), which allows Airdrop, Hand Off (the most likely culprit), etc, is interfering with the sync. I know, it doesn't make sense, especially as Bear, the native copy function, Paste, 1Password, etc, etc, all update when the devices are near the desktop, but I've reproduced it a few times since just to make sure, and that seems to be what is happening. I would investigate further, but I need to get out more.
