Missing old photos and videos on my iPhone 14 Pro after iOS 18 update

after I did the update iOS 18, I realize that I cannot pull any pictures or videos before 2021 that were made on my phone. It used to be chronologically sorted by when you took the video and it’s not anymore and same with my photos. All of my videos and photos only go back to 2021 and there’s nothing before that and I’m trying to search through my content to make videos. How do information find all my stuff? This is the worst update ever.
