Restoring an application only from Apple Timemachine to an external drive

How to restore an older photoshop application only from apple time machine on an imac with os 13.7.2 Ventura to an external drive without erasing what exists on the iMac internal hard drive? I found the Photoshop application on the TM **. Google suggested right clicking to restore to a different destination without erasing the version on my internal iMac HD. The error message I received is below.

Can this restore to an external drive be done, and if so, how? I have never restored anything from Timemachine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You, Charlie

a: No. I don't believe so.

b: Even if you could, what you're trying to do wouldn't work. Photoshop would have to be re-installed completely. It puts too many support files in too many places to be able to restore it that way.

Hi,

I think you can't restore certain Application from TimeMachine back up to external drive. You need to have macOS installed devices.
