Poor service from Apple Carnegie Gallery, Washington DC

Camera is not working as expected. Scheduled an appointment at Apple Carnegie Gallery,Washington DC today 1305hrs ET. Agreed to get the repair done on the phone camera for USD199 after the diagnostics done. Tech guy could not open the screws on my iPhone 13 Pro Max as these are rusted!!! How can you imagine that your iPhone screws can rust being such a fancy expensive device??? I am blamed for the improper maintenance of my iPhone by the tech lead lady. She offered to replace it with a replacement phone of similar specifications for USD599 sans warranty, as the only remedy option

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 18

Curious how someone there could suggest the screws were rusted.

After someone else had evaluated the product; and for there to be

rust on that device may not be a realistic assessment of its status.

(And I thought the metals used were very resistant to rusting.)

However, that being said, this Apple Community will not necessarily be

I've seen some odd things; but I've not worked in an Apple store.

And any questions one may have with staff, may seek escalation.

While I've inquired briefly, may never know the full facts there.

Thousands of miles away, on the other side of North America!
