Create contact option missing in iMessage from an inbound contact card sent to me.

When I receive a new contact in an inbound imessage, I press on the contact card sent but there is no "Create New Contact" prompt nor an "Add to existing contact" prompt. I’m using version 18.5 on an iPhone 12 Pro Max and this happens often on messages that include a contact card sent to me. Is there a fix or am I doing something wrong? Searching for suggestions. Thanks.
