Frequent iCloud sync errors asking for two-factor authentication

I get this message more often these days, which ends up with a request to enable TFA, which I decline. Can I stop the message. I get on both my Macbook Pro and iPhone sE

Over the (many) years since Apple introduced two-factor authentication, yes, the messages to enable it have become more frequent. If I were to guess, I would say two-factor authentication will become mandatory in a soon-to-be-released update. My advice is to enable it.
