Hidden Photo Folder’s passcode dissabled by itself randomly

Hi, last night I realized that I can access my hidden photo folder directly without a password, and I’m sure that I did not change the setting. Why did that happen? I’m worried that my data has been stolen. How can I get information about my airdrop traffic or about when this password setting has been disabled by someone or something? Thank you.

iPhone 13, iOS 18

If you are looking at your phone when you tap the Hidden Album, it will open without any Passcode by using Face ID.

There is not activity logs that would show what folders were opened in photos. Some would consider that a privacy concern for the same reason why your device does not log your movements where your last locations would be viewable. If someone knows your passcode and has physical access to your device to be able to use AirDrop, then you should change your Passcode.

To turn off the "Show Face ID" setting requires a face ID--so someone who has your phone for a couple of minutes can't really switch it off and gain access. If you've turned off "Show Face ID," then Hidden can be opened by anyone after access to the phone is obtained.

Face ID can be turned on, however, without face ID. So, you'd think a nefarious actor would turn it back on to hide their having stealthily searched through your secrets.

I think that you will have a really hard time with a lawsuit…

I need help with this privacy concern. A bank employee briefly had access to my iPhone at 18.07.2025, and later I checked Screen Time. It shows that the Photos app was accessed for 2 minutes between 11 AM and 12 PM, but it doesn’t show the exact time of that access so I can not be sure about was that me or bank employee.

Is there any way to find out the precise time (e.g. 11:14 AM) when the Photos app was opened?

Or any other logs that can help me confirm this?

I need this information for a possible legal step, so any detailed suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

There are no logs that tracks your activity for the time you open every app. Legally there is also no way to prove if you opened the app or someone else you handed the phone to even if there was a timestamp.
