Enhancing Logic Pro's Visual Customization and Flexibility

Logic Pro is fantastic for music production, but its visual interface and customization options could greatly benefit from more flexibility. Here are my suggestions:

  • Fully Customizable Themes:
  • Allow users to freely choose colors beyond the standard grey themes. Customizable color themes would significantly enhance creativity and user comfort.
  • Custom Track Color Palette:
  • Automatically assign track colors from a customizable palette, featuring shades like blue, orange, and various greys, making project organization visually appealing and intuitive.
  • Flexible Inspector and Track View:
  • The Track View Inspector doesn't always have to be fixed on the left side. Users should have the freedom to reposition it freely, such as moving it to the right side, based on personal preference.

Rigid restrictions hinder usability and creativity. Music is about freedom, and Logic Pro’s interface should embody that principle.

Hi there,

Make sure to notify Apple right away... this could be extremely valuable. It's the most effective method to catch the attention of the Logic Pro team.

Submit Feedback to Apple:

Report your issues to Apple. Fixes may not be implemented until they are reported. These forums are user-to-user platforms, and Apple’s involvement is limited to their own schedule. While Apple may not respond directly, the more feedback received, the better understanding they gain of existing issues and potential updates for future versions. Without reporting your concerns, Apple will not be aware of them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - Logic Pro - Apple
  2. Feedback Type: “Broken feature/Report a problem”
  3. Comment: Please provide a detailed description of the issue you encountered and the troubleshooting steps you have attempted thus far. Include the URL of this thread for reference.

As far as your notes:

  • You can move the Region Inspector by using the "Region Inspector Float". You could also customize "Screen Sets"
  • You can automatically assign colors by going to "Settings>Track Color>Auto-Assign"
  • You would have to se a third party service for customized skins (Apple will probably not go for this)
