iMessage activation failed due to iPadOS compatible issue on my 1st gen iPad Pro

I want to use iMessage on my iPad Pro 1st gen, but the new iPadOS 18 is not compatible with my iPad Pro..

what can I do to use iMessage on my iPad Pro.. please help ..
