Hi folks. I purchased Excel back in 2023, and now I'm trying to use it on a new computer. Where can i find the license key? I looked at my original subscription receipt and it's not on there. I guess I should've written it down somewhere, ha. Thanks for any assistance.
IIRC Excel licenses are tied to your Microsoft Account.
When you run Excel it will use your Microsoft account to validate the software license - typically via your email address and password you used when you first registered it.
Ugh, really? I'm using someone else's laptop to rebalance my portfolio. They have the MS Office Suite loaded and I was required to sign in, which I did with no problem. However, apparently they didn't purchase it, so it wants me to purchase it, which I'm obviously not going to do. There is a link for "I have a license key", so I was hoping I could go somewhere to look it up and use it on this laptop. :(

Did you sign in with their Microsoft ID? or yours.
In the Excel menu there's an option to Sign Out...:
So just sign out of the current account and sign in with your own. It should the pick up the license if you have one associated with your Microsoft Account.
