iPad Pro backup not running even though I have iCloud space available

I have a 2TB iCloud Plan with 219.2GB of 2TB which I assume means I have used 219.2GB of my 2TB plan.

The last iPad Pro backup says it is 174,5GB. I have a 2TB iPad Pro 2022 which says 602.68GB of 2TB used.

When checking how much space the next backup will be it says 279.4GB

A little over half of my apps data are not turned on in iCloud Backup. i.e, not backed up.

When I run Backup Now. It starts then after a little bit it comes and says Estimating Backup Time, then

About 1 Minute Remaining, then 2 Minutes Remaining, then 3, then 4 and then stops and says cannot

backup because not enough iCloud Storage available.

What is going on?? Is there iCloud Storage being used that I don’t see??

Could you give us more information?

Are you using iCloud Photos?
Have you re-started your iPad?
Have you forced restarted your iPad?

Force Re-start iPad

This is different from a simple Power Off. For me, the logo appears way after the Power Off notice.

Do you have more than 10% free storage on your iPad?

No I am not using iCloud Photos.

Yes I have restarted several times.

Yes I have forced restart in my iPad PRO a few times.

Yes I have more that 50% free storage on my iPad Pro

and about 1.4TB free storage on my iCloud.

The backups have been running fine and when I look the other

day it says last backup 25-07-01 and now every time I try to run a backup

it says it cannot run because I don’t have enough iCloud storage.

Just to give a update.

I deleted the backup I had on iCloud, which now says I have used 44.2GB of 2TB.

I then went in and tried to run a new backup but got the same results as before.

What has happen to iCloud Backup? Guess I’ll have to call apple tomorrow.

Why does it have to be so? I do have an iMazing backup just in case.

So, called Apple and explained my problem.

They told me stop iCloud backup on my iPad Pro.

Then waited a few seconds. Then turned iCloud backup

on and then after several hours, my iCloud backup completed.

What???? Very strange I must say.

Backup turned out to be around 329GB and after I did a check

my next backup says +1.6GB.

Oh well!!
