iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 18.5.
I no longer get any sound from my iPhone when I receive text messages from my wife, who is also my emergency contact. I have read previous threads from users who have the same problem, and none of the suggested solutions work, ever. Is there a genuine fix for this?

Unless you tell us what things you've already tried, it's likely that you will get suggestions that you've already tried.
Go to the main conversation screen in Messages. Find the conversation with your wife. Do you see, at the far right, an icon of a bell with a line through it?
If so, put your finger on the conversation and pull to the left. Tap the purple bell icon.

Are you using a specific ringtone or text tone for her contact, or did you have the default tones enabled?
