Sequoia 15.5 no longer has the swoosh sound when sending mail on my iMac

All posts, now closed to new comments, are 2 yrs old and concern Ventura. My iMac OS Sequoia 15.5 no longer has the swoosh sound on sending in Apple Mail. I've tried old posts' remedies, to no avail. I checked and unchecked New Messages Sound and Play Sounds for Other Mail Actions, sending email messages to myself in between, as advised. So time-consuming to have to check my Sent to verify if my emails were actually sent! Any new ideas?
