Missing text after exporting a Keynote to PDF on MacBook Pro

i am trying to export a presentation deck from keynote to PDF. the file post exporting does not show text. how should i resolve that

If you go to File → Print and then save as PDF directly, will the text still disappear?

Thank Olivia - I tried that but the text disappears. however, it's a bit weird because the same presentation (PDF) opens with text on the iPhone but not on my MacBook pro.
