How to install Mac OS X Mavericks from a local install recovery?
I booted off the recovery disk for Mac OS X Mavericks and I try to reinstall but it says A required download is missing Error any suggestions on how to fix this?

Mavericks is conspicuously absent from the list of Mac OS X / macOS versions available for download.

There are several startup key combinations that affect which version of macOS your machine tries to install. (See: "Which macOS does Recovery install?" in How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support .). I don't know if experimenting with different ones of them might get you something that you could use as a starting point.
