Not able to access files from iCloud using FCP X.

Looks like this was reported many years ago (2018) and it appears its still an issue. Is this accurate? FCP X still doesn't allow me to access my iCloud drive? thanks

FCP requires media be on a local drive. You can imagine that the variability of an internet connection could wreak havoc on playback.

Yes, and it is by design. You can't really edit using online media, the access latency and speed are woefully inadequate.

Make Sense. I think I made the assumption that it would copy the asset to the main project folder which is on fast local drive. Thanks
