My daughter's iPad is not appearing on Family Sharing

My daughter has an iPhone and we recently purchased an iPad. She is signed into both devices with her Apple ID. In the family sharing group, only her iPhone appears. Additionally, I am not able to have different settings on each device. Can I have different settings for each?

When your child is signed in with the same Apple ID on multiple devices, they’re treated as one user, so things like Screen Time settings will apply across all devices.

That’s why you’re seeing the same settings on both the iPhone and the iPad, and only one device showing in Family Sharing. To manage each device separately, they’d each need to have their own Apple ID, and ideally, your daughter’s iPad would be set up as a child account under your Family Sharing group. That way, you can customize settings individually for each device.
