Extend your AppleCare+ coverage - Apple Support
If you did not buy AppleCare+ at the time that you bought your Mac, or within 60 days of purchase, it is too late to buy it now. With renewals, "if your AppleCare+ plan expired recently, you might be able to continue coverage." If the information in the Support documents doesn't clear things up, you may need to contact Apple Support.

I don't think so.
It is not absolutely necessary to buy new to get AppleCare+. If you bought a Certified Refurbished Mac from the online Apple Store, that Mac would have come with a 1-year limited Apple warranty, and you would have had the option to purchase AppleCare+.
Certified Refurbished Products - Apple
A Mac "renewed" or "refurbished" by someone else typically would not be eligible for AppleCare+. But if you think that what the Mac is telling you about your eligibility to purchase AppleCare+ is wrong, you could contact Apple Support. Apple is the one who decides whether your Mac is eligible for AppleCare+. This is a user-to-user forum, so while we can make educated guesses as to what Apple will say, they're the ones who should know.
From what you are saying, this is a used Mac that was not under an Apple warranty or an AppleCare+ plan at the time that you bought it. The coverage that you want to buy wouldn't be an extension of AppleCare+. It would be new coverage on a used machine.
Which as far as I know, you cannot buy. You'll need to live with whatever third-party warranty the seller gave you. That is one of the disadvantages of buying used machines from places other than the Certified Refurbished store.
But as I said before, Apple is the one who makes the determination.

I actually think this machine might be a demonstration machine, because the battery cycle is only six times and the health is 100%, unless the battery has been replaced, but the overall appearance of the laptop is still like new.
You should be able to see availability coverage via >Settings— check for your self
If you bought a used Mac unless it was purchased directly from Apple using Apple's Refurbished program then no you cannot buy AppleCare.
In short because you purchased from JBHi-Fi as a refurbished machine, the computer you purchased IS NOT eligible for AppleCare coverage.
Be sure to contact the seller to see if extended coverage is available through them.
If you are doing your initial warranty, they may have a program for extended warranty as well.
I not bought from online Apple Store, jbhifi is the largest electrical appliance retailer in Australia. They sell a wide variety of products, including Apple computers, etc. I bought it from their official website. The official website said it had a one-year warranty, but when I received the computer, I found that Apple Care expired in November 2024. So this one-year warranty seems to be Jbhifi's own, so I want to buy Apple Care.

I were not bought new, I bought the renewed. So I cannot buy the AppleCare+?
