Album Cover Collages in Apple Music Playlists

Hi there.

I'm struggling to understand why Apple removed the ability to generate playlist covers using album art from the first few songs. The old collage-style covers added character and made playlists feel personal. The gradients have always felt generic and lifeless.

This change seems like a huge step backward. Was there a technical reason behind it, or was this just a design choice? Either way, I hope Apple reconsiders. It was a small feature, but it mattered.

It looks like people have been asking for this to come back for years now (searching on Google, Reddit and YouTube..). I am genuinely trying to understand the thinking.

Do any of you feel the same?
