My Apple Watch series 7 starts draining.

Hello everyone,

Out of nowhere, the battery of my Apple Watch 7 starts to drain. And really fast. After 2 hours, the battery is completely empty. I currently have 81% battery capacity.

I have already disconnected the Apple Watch from my iPhone, erased it and reinstalled it as a new device. I have not restored the backup either.

What I do notice is that the watch seems to be lukewarm, warmer and then I regularly have to enter my code. As if it thinks it is no longer around my wrist.

I am a bit at my wits' end. I read many articles with people experiencing this problem, but no clear solution.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you!

Apple Watch Series 7, watchOS 11

Have you been swimming with your watch recently?

The watch getting warmer than usual and restarting could be a sign of water damage.

Although the capacity of the battery is already at 81%, the watch should hold a charge longer than two hours.

In case you upgraded to the Beta watchOS 26, the watch can not be downgraded anymore and you will have to wait for the official watchOS 26 release to rule out a software issue.
