Safari not recognising certain websites on macOS Catalina 10.15.7

My Mac runs Catalina 10.15.7 as a browser. I am having difficulty with it recognising some websites and have been advised to change to Google Chrome because those sites have run updates and now doesn't recognise Safari. In particular it doesn't recognise Centrelink or Dept Fire and Emergency Services websites.

If the websites in question object to Safari try Brave:

I do not know what Centrelink or Dept Fire and Emergency Services are but countless government agencies in the United States have been misled into believing their websites require Google. This is false. Those agencies are (unwittingly, probably) propagating a lie.

Installing Google on a Mac effectively renders it into a full-time personal information-harvesting and -uploading "bot" which conveys zero benefit to you. Don't do it.
