iCloud messages not transferring

Hi, I recently lost my iphone and in retrieving my Icloud account and I don't think all of my text messages have transferred from the cloud. All text stop on 30/09/2022. Photos, Watsapp etc history reverts back to 2018

New (old) Iphone XR running version iOS 18.5

Messages in Icloud is toggled "On".

Keep messages forever is also toggled and I am "sure" was same on my lost Iphone.

Messages in Iphone storage @ 380MB vs Icloud at 15GB.

Iphone has used 60GB of 128GB storage

Icloud storage used 43GB of 2TB

Icloud backup is on and backed up from lost phone 3 days prior to losing on 12/6/25 (under one month ago). Backup size 3.2GB

Icloud backup from new Iphone currently at 1.2GB last run yesterday 5/7/25.

Is it possible to obtain dates from when Icloud messages are stored?

Can you view the number of messages stored on each device understanding that the storage will usually be different?
