iPhone 13 Pro Max with constant water in charge port issue and low battery health

So my wife’s phone has started giving constant water in charge port issues. Funny, that is never had any water near it, and I believe the sensors have gone, so it’s most likely going to need replaced Plus’s battery health is down to 81%, so it would need replacing too. It’s an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’m wondering should we fix her current phone or bite the bullet and get her a new device?

Make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop to let them check and test the phone, so you can decide how you want to proceed at that point.

A new battery is roughly about $100 (U.S.). If that will get things going again for another 2-3 years, then the battery might be a good investment.

If it turns out to be a board problem, that plus a new battery is likely going to be in the $500+ range, so the money would likely be better spent on a new phone.

Happened 2 nights in a row and the thing hasn’t been near moisture odd but I definitely think the sensor is on its way out it’s more is the phone worth repair or is it better economically to replace
