Your issue is occurring because once photos are manually removed from iCloud, they don't automatically sync again, even if you've since purchased additional storage. To resolve this, first ensure your iCloud Photos settings are properly enabled. Go to your iPhone's Settings, tap your name at the top (Apple ID), then select iCloud and Photos. Verify that the "Sync this iPhone" or "iCloud Photos" option is turned on.

Next, confirm that your additional iCloud storage has been activated. You can do this by navigating to Settings, selecting your Apple ID at the top, then choosing iCloud and tapping on Manage Storage. Here, make sure your new storage plan is listed correctly.

If syncing hasn't resumed, try forcing it by briefly turning off iCloud Photos synchronization. Under Settings, go back to your Apple ID, select iCloud, and tap on Photos. Toggle the "Sync this iPhone" setting off, wait about 30 seconds, then toggle it back on. When prompted during this step, be sure to select "Keep Photos" to avoid any accidental data loss.

To help refresh connections and resolve minor issues, restart your iPhone by holding down the volume and side buttons simultaneously, then swipe to power off. After approximately 30 seconds, turn your phone back on. Also, for optimal syncing, make sure your phone is connected to a strong Wi-Fi network and plugged into power, as this facilitates faster uploading and synchronization.

You can monitor your upload progress by opening the Photos app and scrolling down to check if a status message appears, indicating ongoing uploads. If your device storage remains low after these steps, consider enabling the "Optimize iPhone Storage" feature found in Settings under Photos. This setting stores smaller, optimized images locally, while high-resolution versions are uploaded and stored in iCloud, significantly reducing your device’s storage usage.

Should these steps not resolve your issue, signing out and back into your Apple ID might help. Navigate to Settings, tap your Apple ID, and select "Sign Out." After a few moments, sign back in. If problems persist despite following these instructions, reaching out directly to Apple Support may be necessary for further assistance.
