Reader pops up automatically on opening Safari webpage on my Mac or iPhone

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well!

I've been facing an issue with Safari lately—every time I open a webpage on my mac or iphone, Reader Mode automatically pops up. While I understand it can be helpful in some cases, it's actually making my work unproductive.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a way to turn off the auto-activation of Reader Mode?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

Best regards

Hello zhansaya1,

It sounds like you have Automatically open webpages in Reader Mode enabled.

Follow these steps to disable it on your iPhone and Mac:

iPhone

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down to Apps
  3. Find Safari
  4. under Website Settings, click on Reader>
  5. disable Automatically Use Reader On All Websites.

Mac

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click Safari in the menu bar at the top
  3. Click Settings
  4. Click Websites
  5. Set When Visiting Other Websites to Off

This should disable Reader Mode from opening on websites automatically.

Sincerely,

Captain
