I used the fast transfer to transfer my files, contacts and I thought photos from my Android phone to my first iphone, and iphone 12. the photos show up in iphone storage, but none of them are in the photos app. How do I get them fro storage to the photo app?

By "storage" I take you to mean that you see these picture files in the Files app in "On My iPhone." Is that right? Be sure you have plenty of free storage on the phone-- you'll end up with an extra copy of all the pictures, at least temporarily. You'd be wise to do this with a few pictures first to be sure it goes OK.
If you're in Files, then you should be able to choose the "More" icon at the upper right (•••) and Select to select a bunch of pictures. Then you choose the Share icon,
and scroll the menu to "Save nn Items." That will save them to the Photos app. You should see them in "Photos>Utilities>Recently Saved." If the Library view is sorted by Recently Added, then they'll be in the middle of the screen when you first open Photos.
You will then have two copies of each picture-- in both Files and Photos. Make sure they are where they are supposed to be, and delete the others.

Thank you for your response, this is my first iphone and it has been a challenge having used Androids for many years. At age 83, I can still figure things out most of the time it just takes me longer. I needed the iphone to mesh with my new JABRO hearing aids, and that is a whole trip in itself.

You didnt' say what these files are "attached" to. When I look at my "Review Large Attachments," I see pictures and videos from my Messages app, mostly. Each one has a "share" icon that includes a menu with "Save to Photos." But there is no way to select more than one at a time, since this isn't really a place for that.
So where are these picture attachments? Are they in an email, or what? I'm afraid I don't know anything about Android systems, but I bet there was a better way to move them. Do you have a computer? a Mac?
