Apple Watch Series 7 SOS, reset all content and settings, boot loop

watch series 7 SOS triggers randomly and when u press digital crown, it doesnt take you the page where u can see you watch apps, instead it will give the option for medical ID, compass backtrack, and SOS. When u force shutdown (pressing digital crown and side button) it is not turning off properly. Apple logo will show and a prompt “reset all content and settings” then you will need to pair back your watch. Worst case scenario would be boot loop. And u need to find a way to get that prompt because thats the only way you can turn back on the watch to pair it again. So frustrating…

Can you still check the battery health status in the settings for battery?

If it is 80% or lower, this might also be battery related and the battery needs to be replaced by Apple.

To rule out a software issue, you could erase the watch and set it up again as a new device, without any backup data:

Your watch should show the emergency screen when the Side button is being pressed, not the Digital Crown.

when watch is in my wrist, if i press the crown, SOS automatically triggers. But if it’s charging, sos do not trigger but im still seeing the sos option.

Recover option does show when im about to pair it for the nth time but not like on the picture of the link u sent. Should i still do that?

battery has never been replaced. Thanks for your help
