On your iPhone (iOS 18)...

Settings->Screen Time->Content & Privacy Restrictions->make sure the option is OFF. If on then tap App Store, Media, Web & Games->Music, Podcasts, News, Fitness->if it’s set to Clean change it to Explicit.

Now here’s the catch. If you are a minor and your parents are managing your iPhone they may have set these restrictions using parental controls. If that’s the case there’s no way around it and you’ll have to speak to them.

It’s also possible that the country you live may have laws in place that restrict explicit content and Apple must follow the laws of the countries it does business in.

Im on the latest version - 18.5

My Content & Privacy Restrictions are always OFF.

And just incase i enabled it just to turn on the clean to explicit on "App Store, Media, Web & Games" and disabled it back.

I live in India.

So considering all these factors, my Apple music is still recommending the clean versions of songs first.

Is there maybe another setting inside the apple music itself or something else i can do???

Well, I did some research and found that India has a number of laws that allow it to block or sensor content.

It seems that while India does allow (for the most part) explicit content and/or requires labels for such content it can depend on the region of India one lives in. It also seems that Apple Music in India was at one time blocking explicit content.

You might want to check with local authorities in your area about your situation.
