Playing Apple Music from Mac to an Echo Flex unit.

So I use one of the old Echo Flex units from Amazon to stream music from my Mac mini to an analog amplifier.

It´s very simple with Spotify, you can just choose the Flex as an output in the app, But now im moving from Spotify to Apple Music and the desktop app doesn't seem to have that option, I don't see my Echo there anywhere.

Now what I can do, is stream A.M from my phone to the Echo through the Alexa app.. but I don't want that, I want to be able to stream and control it from my Desktop.

Can anybody help me find a way to make this work ?

Thanks

Mac mini, macOS 15.5

Sampling,

I haven't done it that way, but I believe it simply requires using the Echo as a Bluetooth speaker, and pairing it with your Mac.

To do the pairing, I found these steps online:

"To use an Amazon Echo device as a Bluetooth speaker, you'll need to pair it with your phone or other Bluetooth-enabled device. First, put your device into pairing mode (consult your device's manual for instructions). Then, use the Alexa app or say, "Alexa, pair Bluetooth" to initiate pairing. Your device should then appear in the Alexa app or on your phone's Bluetooth settings, where you can select it to connect. "
