Imac comes on in middle of night

Bluetooth devices and /or network activity can wake your Mac. That being said it is best not to use sleep. Just have display turn off after a set time. Too many miscellaneous issues using sleep.
It wakes itself from sleeping
When you say it turn on, do you mean it wakes itself from sleeping, or it powers itself on from being completely off? There are possible explanations for either, but they are different.
Also, does this happen every night or only occasionally? At around the same time or at various times? What sort of time(s)?
Is it connected to a network? Wifi or wired?
