Why isn’t the wallet app supported for iPad

The Wallet app isn't available on Macs or iPads but you can use Apple Pay on both by setting it up in Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay on an iPad or Apple menu > System Settings > Wallet * Apple Pay on a Mac.

This is primarily a user-to-user support forum; other Apple users like you. We don't have access to any unpublished Apple information and as far as I am aware, they haven't made a statement about the Wallet App on other devices.

iPads do not have NFC. Without NFC there is no need for the Wallet app. Wallet app is only on Apple devices that support NFC.
