I downloaded a book to my phone. It has 1300 chapters. I want to throw it into the reader, but there is a limited amount. There is no way to split the book, there are no programs for this. If you convert to a text file, which would be done manually, the phone sees only the first 300 chapters.

Many iPhone reader apps (like Apple Books, Files, or basic text readers) can’t index or display massive .txt files well — they often stop parsing after a size or structure limit (e.g., number of lines, MB size, or chapters).
Best is Convert the text to EPUB format — this solves the chapter limit issue and is compatible with nearly all iOS reader apps.

The format does matter. You will save everyone, yourself included, if you answer that simple question.

It might make difference in terms of getting any kind of usable answer, such as suggestions for using an app other than Books, so you might want to tell us. Also, is it currently in .epub format? Or something else like .pdf?

I don't have to read it. I need to divide the book into 7-8 parts. Parts of 150-200 chapters. Then I can insert these parts into the application where you can listen to it.
