Face ID has nothing to do with your Apple ID. Go to https://AppleID.Apple.com. Can you log in? If not, then you don’t know your Apple ID and current password. If that’s can case post back for more guidance.


One possibility: Did you click a link in an email or text that said you had to log in to “Apple", and did you do so? That was not from Apple, it was a scam to steal your Apple ID and password→If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support
