Disappearing email after pressing backspace key in Mail app on Mac

Hi,

I’m reaching out regarding an issue I experienced while using the Mail app on my Mac. I searched for an email address in the Mail app’s search bar, and while viewing the search results, I pressed the Backspace key.

After doing so, the email disappeared and I can no longer find it in my Gmail Trash, All Mail, or Inbox — both on my Mac Mail app and directly via Gmail’s web interface. I tried undo on my keyboard it didn’t work .
