Resolving Mail deletion issues on macOS 13.7.1

OS 13.7.1 on iMac 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, trying to empty trash in Apple Mail Version 16.0 (3731.700.6.1.9). Most items were deleted but three were not.
