Unable to turn off music in Photos slideshows

With previous versions of OS it was possible to turn off music playing with Photos slideshows, but doesn't seem possible with Sequoia (15.5). I can hit the mute button but hoped there'd be a way of disabling it permanently. Would welcome solution - if there is one.

Yes the project option works, but if you just want to look through albums already created on the Mac, it seems unnecessary to have to convert them into Projects. And yes, I can select different music, but would prefer not to have any at all - so it'll have to be the mute button.

Seems a simple option for Apple, though.

Ok. I don’t have a Mac. These are issues I’m having on entirely my iPhone. The music feature is now active on any and all slideshows I attempt to create or play with my iPhone. Not a useful feature to have two songs playing simultaneously during the entire slideshow. What kind of genius at Apple thought this was a good idea, but didn’t think it was a good idea to have a “no song” option to overlay onto slides. Sorry for venting. My iPhone is now absolutely useless for any slides containing audio or video clips.
