Creating USB installer for MacBook Pro with Mojave or Monterey

I’d like to create a USB installer with either Mojave (first OS) or Monterey (last OS) for my 2015 MacBook Pro. I’ll be using a new MacBook Air, since the 2015 Pro couldn’t create the installer itself - I heard this might not work, unless the computer I use it the same age as the one I’m trying to fix, but in case it does, can someone share the download link?

To perform this action will require booting from a Bootable Installer

The Bootable Installer can Only be performed on an Apple Computer

This will have to be performed from a Qualifying Computer to run the version of macOS to be made on the Bootable Installer.

Example : Bootable Installer of Mojave / Monterey would have to be done on a computer that Qualifies to run Mojave / Monterey

macOS Mojave - Technical Specifications

Computer Qualify for the Monterey upgrade

Notation: If the computer being used to perform this action is Too New to qualify to run the version of macOS - this computer can’t be used.

Alternative is, to gain access to a Qualifying Apple Computer from a family member, friend or associate.

What is the exact model of the "new" MBAir? You can get this information by clicking the Apple menu & selecting "About This Mac". You would need a MBAir model from 2015 to mid-2022.

Otherwise you would need access to another Mac from about 2007 to mid-2022 in order to use it to download an older macOS installer (10.11, 10.13, 10.15, 11.x, 12.x) so you can create a bootable USB installer....so you can get access to the later macOS installers within the App Store. You can use the following article to figure out which Apple hardware is compatible with various versions of macOS:

Why couldn't the MBPro 2015 create the installer? What is wrong with the MBPro that you need to reinstall macOS?

Good Questions my friend 👍

Kind of had the same thoughts but thought a second time and when in the other direction
