Safari bookmark persists after deletion on iPhone

I made a bookmark by accident so I deleted it however the bookmark is still appearing. How do I permanently remove the bookmark?

Go to Bookmarks>Edit Bookmarks. Control-click on the bookmark you want to delete. Select "Delete."

do you go in settings because I already deleted the bookmark on safari but it is still visible and won’t go away?
