Unable to locate my Private Relay Apple ID

Your email address that looks like 2******wf@privaterelay.appleid.com is a private relay email address created by Apple when you use "Sign in with Apple" for apps or websites. Here’s how to find out which app or service it belongs to — and possibly recover the linked account or email communication.

How to Find the App/Service Linked to That Email

1. Check on Your iPhone/iPad

• Go to Settings > [your name] > Sign-In & Security > Apps Using Apple ID
• Look for the app/service associated with the privaterelay.appleid.com email.
• Tap it to see the full relay address and whether it’s still forwarding.

2. On a Mac

• System Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID

3. On the Web

• Go to appleid.apple.com
• Log in with your Apple ID
• Scroll to Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple
• Click to view apps using Apple’s private relay

What You Can Do:

Reactivate or Manage the Relay

If you turned off email forwarding from that alias, re-enable it in the above menus so you receive messages again.

Search Your Email

Search your iCloud mailbox for part of the relay (like privaterelay) to locate past emails sent through it — they may include the name of the service/app.

If You Deleted the App Account

If you deleted your account or revoked the app’s access, Apple may no longer forward messages via that relay.

Need to Recover a Lost Account?

If you're trying to recover access to an account you signed into with that alias, go to the app or website and use "Sign in with Apple" again — it should still work unless the relay was deleted.
