Blocked email senders are not getting deleted despite setting preferences in Mail

Blocked email senders are NOT getting deleted and I have set the preferences correctly.

*Enable Blocked Mail Filtering

*Move it to the Trash

Still the blocked emails end up in the JUNK mail folder and I have to manually delete them.

And of course I have added these senders to the Blocked List.
