To disable the Mail follow-up suggestion feature on your iPhone, navigate to Settings > Mail > Follow Up Suggestions and toggle the switch to the off position. This will prevent the Mail app from automatically resurfacing emails you've sent without a response.
I had never enabled the follow up function and it’s turned off on all my devices. They keep coming.
