cannot email to myself from iPhone

I have an iPhone 16 pro. When I email to myself, from photos, it now does not ask me what size image, it just does nothing. No, wooshing sound and I never get the email.

If I try to send an email from my mail account, I get the wooshing sound and it appears in sent but I never get the email. I checked settings and deleted and re-added the email account but still the same.

I have tried 2 ISP's - BT and EE but the same with both.

This just started out of the blue today. I'm on IOS 18.5. I updated a while ago.

Any help gratefully received!

Have you checked your junk/spam email folder? Are you sending from the same email address you are sending to? What happens if you log into the email provider's web access to check your mail, do you see anything there? What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Hi Chris. Thanks for responding.

To and from address the same. I’ve tried two isp’s, deleted and reinstalled my mail account but no change. I’m on iOS 18.5. I’m still getting other emails. My wife has an iPhone 11 and uses the same infrastructure as me but she does not have the problem! We both have BT Mail accounts and the phone settings look identical.

interesting…I have taken this up with BT as well as it may be an account issue
