Mac mail app doesn't sync with iPhone mail

I have 3 accounts on mail, apple, hotmail and gmail, I read most of my e-mails on my iPhone but when i go to my mac all the mails I've read are still unread, shouldn't they sync?

I've tried to set up all account from scratch but the problem persists, any advice on how make both the mail on mac and iPhone sync?
