When will support for the Polish language be added to Siri and Apple Intelligence?
Will it ever happen?
Despite Poland's substantial Apple user base, it is deeply disappointing and concerning to see Apple’s continued failure to provide Polish-language support for Siri and the newly introduced Apple Intelligence features. This omission places Polish customers at an unjust disadvantage compared to users in smaller markets whose languages are already supported.
Poland’s population is estimated at 38 million as of mid-2025, making it the 42nd most populous country worldwide and the ninth largest in Europe. With internet penetration at approximately 90% and mobile connections exceeding 140% of the population, Poland is clearly a highly connected market.
Furthermore, Apple’s iOS holds 21% of Poland’s mobile operating system market as of January 2025, representing over 8 million active iPhone users in Poland alone. Millions more use iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and other devices in the Apple ecosystem.
Despite this, Polish is entirely absent from the list of languages supported by Siri and Apple Intelligence on iOS 18 and iOS 26. By contrast, Denmark, serving a population of only about 5.9 million, and with far fewer iPhone users, enjoys full Danish Siri support, including neural‑text‑to‑speech voices, Apple Intelligence compatibility, and smart‑assistant features across all systems and HomePod as far back as iOS 8.3 (2015) and continuing through to iOS 26 today. Additionally, other smaller‑scale languages such as Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish and Hebrew (again, each with far fewer Apple users than Polish) are already supported.
At WWDC 2025, Apple announced the expansion of Apple Intelligence to eight additional languages, yet it excluded Polish. This selective rollout seems that language-support decisions are not based on market size/user demand.
Polish dictation is already fully supported on iOS, so Polish language models are available within Apple’s on-device architecture. Why do Siri and Apple Intelligence features remain inaccessible to Polish speakers? This inconsistency implies a deliberate policy choice rather than any insurmountable technical barrier.
Polish users are thus forced either to conduct voice interactions in English, which degrades the user experience, or to forego these features entirely. This inequity is particularly acute given that competitors like Google Assistant have supported Polish since 2019.
