Need to remove Mac Mail 10k message limit on Yahoo account

To fix this issue - to allow for unlimited received and sent mail - I understand I need to have correct Yahoo IMAP settings in place.

How can I check the IMAP configuration and implement any needed changes?

I have tried to follow instructions Change Server Settings in Mail on Mac - Apple Support "in the Mail app on your Mac, choose Mail > Settings, then click Accounts. Select an account on the left, then click Server Settings".

I haven't been able to follow these instructions because the first instruction "choose Mail>Settings" is a dead end. In Mail I do not find "Settings" as a choice. Preferences and Accounts - but not settings.

If I select Accounts I see Yahoo as an internet account but with no access to advanced settings to confirm correct IMAP configuration.

As it stands I can't reach my mail history - the mail account is truncated at 10k received and 10k sent.

(This is on a Mac using Monterey 12.7.6)

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.7
