Apple Music keeps insisting on playlist-view after I set each playlist to songs-view

Since the Sequoia 15.5 update, whenever I set a playlist to the easy-to-scan songs-view, the nest time I view it, Apple Music has reverted it to the screen-hogging playlist-view. This seems default behavior now. Why? And how can I stop it? By which I mean: is there any way I can keep playlists in songs-view permanently, the way I was able to do in previous versions of the OS?

PS, I do not sync my music library to Apple Music, if that makes any difference, which I doubt
