Updates managed by swscan.apple.com

I haven’t used my MacBook for over a year, I just turned it on and checked for updates. I went the usual way - settings - check for software updates. I started downloading the new one I was suggested when I saw this message “your mac updates is managed by swscan.apple.com”. The laptop is bought directly from apple, I haven’t had any issues with it so far. What does this mean? Is it legit, should I be worried?
