How can I fix a loose MacBook Air hinge?

I can feel that my brand new MacBook m4 which I took 1 month ago is getting a hinge issue when I am taking the laptop in my hand the hinge is getting lose and it’s loosing its magnetic touch and it’s getting lil open is there any chance that I can fix it!!!?

It appears your period key is also not working.

Some points:

When you say you "took" did you mean take it in for repair? Or bought from the store?

Apple's repairs typically have a specific warranty, which if you got a case number you could enquire about when you call AppleCare.


Keep in mind, a damaged hinge can happen because of pushing back the screen further than it resists. You don't ever want to do this. If you bumped into the screen or the computer fell, that could damage the hinge. If you have accident protection, you may want to look into help with that sort of protection.


But as Allan says, it really is up to Apple to decide what to do with it. Be honest and calm with your observations, and you may luck out how it is treated.
