How do I back up iPhone Notes not stored in iCloud?

WARNING: another community member replied to a question saying that as long as back ups are happening regularly, notes stored on the iPhone and not in iCloud would be backed up. However, this does not appear to be the case. My back up shows 75 items being backed up, which equals my iCloud notes. However, I have 153 notes stored on my phone. It appears that iCloud is not backing up the notes on my phone and I do not see an option to turn on backing up notes on my phone. I am moving all of my notes to iCloud because I had a terrible incident over the weekend and I lost hundreds of reminders and I don't want that happening with my notes.
